These terms cover the Outwait website and Chrome extension, operated by Danny Saltaren. By using them, you agree to these terms.

Using Outwait

You must be at least 18 years old. Use Outwait lawfully and only on devices and browser profiles you are authorized to manage. You control its settings and site permissions and can disable or remove it at any time.

A support tool

Outwait provides browser controls and tools for a deliberate pause. It is not medical care, therapy, an emergency service or a substitute for professional advice. No recovery, health or behavioral outcome is guaranteed.

Filtering has limits

Automated classification can miss content or filter something incorrectly. Website changes, permissions, browser limitations and device performance can affect protection. Outwait does not guarantee that all unwanted content will be blocked. The Chrome extension does not control other browsers or native apps.

Availability and charges

This website announces a forthcoming release; it is not a promise of a release date or an offer to sell a subscription. Installing the extension does not itself authorize a charge. Any future paid features will disclose their price and applicable terms before purchase. Separate app-store purchases are governed by the terms presented there and applicable consumer rights.

Privacy and third parties

The privacy policy explains the extension’s data handling. Optional companion-app connections and third-party platforms have their own requirements. Outwait is not affiliated with Google, Reddit, X or Apple.

Ownership and acceptable use

You retain rights to your own content. Outwait’s software and branding belong to their respective owners; open-source components remain subject to their licenses. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its security or infringe others’ rights. Nothing here restricts rights granted by applicable open-source licenses.

Changes, warranties and responsibility

Features may change or become unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free operation. You remain responsible for how you use it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
